The Popular Show Season Four Reveals the Soldiers Group
Ever since the premiere of Campaign 4, recently appointed game master Brennan Lee Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with deep backstory, a wide array of personalities, and a thrilling plot featuring angels, fiends, and dark forces expanding in strength within Dol-Makjar.
Heads-up: Spoilers for the latest installment of this adventure lie ahead.
The Soldiers Table Unveiled
Episode 3 finished on a major cliffhanger and revealed the premier party of adventurers who will separate from the primary party to embark on their independent quest, apart from the other two tables.
The combat-focused team features the determined fighter (brought to life by the voice actor), the nimble rogue (Laura), the strong-willed figure (the cast member), the cleric (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie).
The Reason for Division
With an extensive roster, it was evident from the beginning that keeping everyone at a single group would be unfeasible.
Hence, the first four episodes of Campaign 4 serve as an Overture, intertwining the individual narratives before splitting into three distinct groups: Soldiers, Schemers, and Seekers.
Characteristics of the Soldiers Table
According to Brennan Lee Mulligan, the Soldiers table is for players who prefer a typically action-packed combat and conflict-driven narrative style where non-violent answers are rare.
Upon first impression, characters like the hesitant healer Wicander might appear unsuited, but the actions of the third episode show why these particular heroes are best suited for the warrior group.
Motivations for Departure
First, the party understands precisely where to go next after a intense opening clash with The Crow Keepers.
A former ally of Thjazi—whose passing initiated the campaign’s events—exploited the enemy for his own means, breaking into the secret base, assaulting the character, and taking all the magical artifacts to dispose of.
The traitor then paid off his debts and escaped to a secure base in the northern region, above the city, with Teor’s brother hot on his heels.
Personal Motivations
Secondly, each character has a specific drive to depart the urban setting:
- The agile hero, as the close ally and best friend, wants vengeance.
- Kattigan has experience in Timmony and cautions that it is a dangerous location.
- The strong character and The healer, having resisted his house’s orders to execute the target and instead rescued him, have nowhere else to go.
- Yet, their position as important members in the powerful family could enable the group enter areas they usually can’t.
- Furthermore, The fighter vowed a eternal obligation to The savior for his deliverance and will now accompany him wherever.
Fugitives
Lastly, all of them are wanted by the authorities that rule the city for a multiple motives, making staying in the city too risky:
- The rogue and Kattigan are notorious outlaws.
- The warrior and The healer betrayed the influential house and the horde of evil beings they are partnered with.
- The target is wanted dead by the family.
This results in them no alternative but to journey toward Timmony in search of Casimir.
Future Episodes
Based on the latest episode’s Cooldown, we find out that the Soldiers table will not appear in the upcoming installment, leaving the rest of the participants to form the Seekers and Schemers tables.
Audiences can expect learning which players will be in which group in the story’s last Overture episode, streaming live on next week.
